Position Summary

Assists in the configuration, installation and troubleshooting of equipment deployed out in the network. One year of experience in implementing, managing, or supporting Cisco or equivalent infrastructure is preferred. Position reports to the Regional Network Manager.

Position Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the organization’s mission statement and goals by providing the highest quality of service, treating each person professionally, with warmth, courtesy and respect, cross-selling additional services, and making a personal effort to make customers feel they belong and are important to Fatbeam
  • Has the ability to work with both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and understands subnetting.
  • Solid understanding of 802.1q standards and configurations around this.
  • Configuration of network equipment to design specifications
  • Troubleshooting experience and ability to think around potential problems
  • Physical installation and testing of network equipment to design specifications
  • Effectively communication with our project managers and customers during all phases of projects
  • Completes documentation as the project progresses
  • Actively participates in internal and external meetings
  • Ability to support network on 24x7 as problems get escalated or upgrades needed
  • Other duties may be assigned as deemed applicable
  • Regional travel at 20-30% overall is expected

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Has the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, timelines, correspondence, and other business documents such as proposals and design specifications
  • Effective written and verbal communications are an integral part of this position
  • Has the ability to lift to 30 pounds on a regular basis. This position requires the ability to sit or stand still for extended periods of time.
  • Experience in the Microsoft suite of applications a plus
  • Superior technical skills, people skills and a great attitude are a must

Education and/or Experience, Certificates, Licenses Registrations

  • One (1) or more years of experience with installing, managing, and supporting Cisco or equivalent hardware network infrastructure in the service provider space is desired
  • Active CCNA or equivalent highly desired

Additional Information

Fatbeam requires a background check and the acceptance of a basic non-compete documents for all employees. The background check takes 3-5 days. This offer would be pending upon the results of the background check.
