Network Manger

Position Summary
Manages field network operations for an assigned region, overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of Fatbeam's network equipment and services. Leads and develops a team of field network engineers and technicians responsible for network builds, equipment, and service turn-ups. Five or more years of experience implementing, managing, or supporting Cisco and/or Juniper infrastructure is required, including OSPF, BGP, and MPLS technologies. Prior service provider experience and familiarity with PON-related technologies is required. Two or more years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity is preferred. Position reports to the VP of Network Engineering & Operations.
Position Responsibilities
•    Contributes to the organization's mission statement and goals by providing the highest quality of service, treating each person professionally, with warmth, courtesy and respect, and making a personal effort to ensure customers and team members feel valued.
•    Manages day-to-day field operations, including maintenance, service turn ups and upgrades.
•    Hires, trains, schedules, and mentors field network engineers and technicians to maintain consistent build quality and service turn-up timelines.
•    Leads network builds, installations, and turn-ups from design handoff through completion, including physical installation and testing of network equipment to design specifications, coordinating with project managers, engineering, and customers throughout.
•    Has the ability to work with and maintain a network IP schema, both IPv4 and IPv6
•    Establishes and reports on build timelines, installation quality, and field performance metrics to leadership.
•    Participates in and helps govern the change management process for network configuration changes.
•    Maintains and improves field documentation, as-built records, and installation procedures.
•    Effectively communicates with project managers, customers, and leadership during all phases of projects and incidents.
•    Actively participates in internal and external meetings.
•    Serves as an escalation point for network issues requiring after-hours or on-call attention.
•    Other duties may be assigned as deemed applicable.
•    Regional travel at 20-30% overall is expected.

Education and/or Experience, Certificates, Licenses Registrations
•    Five (5) or more years of experience installing, managing, and supporting Cisco and/or Juniper hardware network infrastructure in the service provider space
•    Two (2) or more years of experience with OSPF/MPLS and BGP
•    Two (2) or more years of experience in a supervisory, team-lead, or field operations management capacity
•    Bachelor's degree in an IT-related major is desired
•    Active CCNP or equivalent highly desired
•    Experience with GPON-related technologies is highly desired

Other Skills/Abilities
•    Has the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, timelines, correspondence, and other business documents such as proposals and design specifications
•    Effective written and verbal communications are an integral part of this position
•    Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills, with the ability to manage performance and scheduling for a field team supporting a 24x7 network
•    Superior technical skills, people skills and a great attitude are a must. Preference will be given to those with broad experience managing Cisco multi-service networks, dynamic routing protocols, and MPLS
Has the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. This position requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, climb ladders or aerial lift equipment, and travel to job sites as needed. A valid driver's license is required.

Additional Information
